Policies

Cancellation Policy:
Full refunds are offered for any cancellations two weeks prior to your rental. Free reschedules are offered in the case of severe rain/thunderstorms where conditions would be unsafe. We do try to be as lenient as possible but please note it is up to JSM to authorize a rescheduling.
Licensing/Experience Requirements
Renter must be at least 25 years of age.
Please note that any and all operators must have either:
A CPWO, PWC, or valid vessel operator’s license OR 2+ years of boating experience
Gas Policy
You will be given a full tank upon launch. You will be charged the cost of filling the tank back up plus the employee’s time. If you fill the tank up before returning, you will not be charged.
Cleanliness Policy
The vessel should be returned in as clean of a condition as you were given it. If not, you will be charged $100+ in cleaning fees.
Usage and Safety
We expect any operators to have adequate boating experience, safety knowledge, and operational knowledge. You will be given a brief safety and an instructional walk-through before your rental. However, YOU are responsible for your and your party’s safety during your rental.
It is YOUR responsibility to have:
- Sufficient boating experience and knowledge of general boating safety practices
prior to rental
- Sufficient knowledge of rental waters prior to rental
- An ability to comprehend safety instructions
- An understanding of proper boating safety that should be done on the
renter’s own accord PRIOR to the start of the rental
Additional Safety Rules:
- Renters must be at least 25 years of age
- No vessel operation by unapproved operators
- No vessel operation dusk to dawn
- No removal of the vessel from the agreed-upon rental premises
- No operation of the vessel by operators under the influence
- No more than the maximum number of passengers on the boat at a time
- No pets on the vessel
- No gas grills on the vessel
Damages/Security Deposit:
The renter is responsible for the condition of the vessel for the duration of the trip. JSM Boats LLC reserves the right to charge the renter for any changes in the condition of the rented vessel. The renter may be charged in significant surplus to their original rental fee for damages/unacceptable conditions of the vessel upon return. This includes but is not limited to:
- Loss of vessel
- Damage to the vessel
- Loss of items (Lifejackets, skis, ropes, fenders, etc.)
- Use of gas (You are only charged for what you use, the boat will have a full tank at the start of the rental, a full tank at end of the rental means no charge)
- General cleanliness
